G.T. Thomas “The Luckless Pedestrian Years”

Last month, Amsterdam-based, an American songwriter, arranger, and producer G.T. Thomas (Gwendolyn Thomas) has released her debut full-length album “The Luckless Pedestrian Years 2004-2010” via Smoking Ant Records. This album is dedicated to the memory of Chris Dedrick (1947–2010). Recorded in Caledon, ON, Canada; Seattle, WA, USA; & Amsterdam, Nederland.


Produced by G.T. Thomas and Chris Dedrick.

"she has composed and orchestrated films and tv ads with husband berend dubbe (ex-bettie serveert, bauer) as well as session work (most notably on the fleet foxes' debut album). 'the luckless pedestrian years' collects the best of her songs from the six year period when she led jazz-pop orchestrette *the luckless pedestrian."

*luckless pedestrian is from the line in a song called 'Don't Take Me Alive' originally appeared on the Steely Dan's fifth album "The Royal Scam" (ABC, 1976).

"G.T. Thomas served her professional apprenticeship in writing, arranging and producing with Chris Dedrick (of the Free Design), which complemented her work in recent years with such artists as Fleet Foxes, Berend Dubbe, TW Walsh (ex-Pedro the Lion), Josh Ottum and Benny Sings."

元ベティ・サーヴァート〜バウアーのベレンド・デュベと結婚後アムステルダムで活動を続けるG.T. トーマスのデビュー・アルバムは、2010年に他界したクリス・デドリック(フリー・デザイン)に捧げられたもの。そして一方、元サドゥンリィ・タミー!のベス・ソレンティーノはアーウィン・チュージッドのバックアップで、カート・ベッチャー(ミレニウム、サジタリアス)に捧げた『Would You Like To Go: A Curt Boettcher Songbook』を来年早々にはリリースする予定デス。
