McCloud ZICMUSE has been active in the musical world since the late 1980's. He is known internationally as an improvisor and composer of eccentric, pop influenced music. He has shared the stage with bands from all corners of the earth and all walks of life, spending the most part of his time with his project, LE TON MITÉ. The links between his work as a musician and that of an artist can been clearly seen through the graphic presentation of his musics and be clearly heard through the simplicity of his lyrics.

Peggy Sue Play The Songs of Scorpio Rising

In Spring 2011 we were invited to perform a live soundtrack to a film at a temporary cinema in Hackney, East London. The film was Kenneth Anger's 1960's cult classic Scorpio Rising and perform a live soundtrack we did. On July 1st, after many long hours perfecting the art of playing along to the film without getting distracted by the leather and the mustard, we played 12 new arrangements of the massive pop hits that appear on Anger's original soundtrack.  --Peggy Sue

Brighton/London post-folk trio Peggy Sue comprises of Rosa Rex, Katy Klaw, Olly Joyce. Their 2011 second full-length "Acrobats," produced by John Parish (PJ Harvey, Sparklehorse, Giant Sand, Eels etc), is available via Wichita Recordings (UK) / Yep Roc (US). "Scorpio Rising" is available on their bandcamp and via Yep Roc, HERE.

All songs arranged and performed by Peggy Sue.
All songs recorded and mixed by Jimmy Robertson at Darnley Road, London, July 2011-Feb 2012.

"Star Over," a Hometapes holiday album

"Star Over," a Hometapes holiday album
FREE (at its bandcamp) with the option to DONATE any amount to Smallwater and their efforts to rebuild the Rockaway, NY community in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Thirty-five tracks that travel through time, space, and the past few years of Hometapes holiday albums, Star Over is the music we’re listening to as we close our eyes, grab your hand, and step off the cliff edge of 2012. Juxtaposed in new ways — and including brand new additions by Chris Rosenau (also of Collections of Colonies of Bees & Volcano Choir), The Caribbean (a collaboration with Insect Factory), Keith Sunset (also of CYNE), and Sunless (Hometapes’ own Adam Heathcott) — these songs are the recipe for the sunrise and sunset of the hardest and best year of our lives. --Hometapes

Cults Percussion Ensemble

CULTS PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
"The Cults Percussion Ensemble must have one of the best group names of all time. To many it will immediately come across as something sinister, a touch spooky and possibly a bit dramatic too. They are certainly two of those but the use of the word “Cults” here is easily misinterpreted. Cults, in this case, is the suburb of Aberdeen. I’m going there next week in fact, with a strange costume.

This is the only album by the group. Assembled by percussion teacher Ron Forbes in 1976, the average age of the students was just 14. They came from a few of the schools in the area, including the Cults Academy, Ellon Academy, Aboyne Academy, Inverurie Academy and Powis." --Jonny Trunk
