Daniel Martin Moore - In the Cool of the Day
Directed by Kevin Bayer
Featuring Daniel Joseph Dorff on piano
Daniel Martin Moore is a Kentucky-born singer-songwriter, "In the Cool of the Day" (out now on Sub Pop) is his second solo album following up to last year's "Dear Companion," a collaboration album between Daniel and Ben Sollee. "In the Cool of the Day" was produced by himself with his longtime friend and drummer Daniel Joseph Dorff, and it was recorded with Haley Bonar, Ben Sollee, Yim Yames (aka Jim James of My Morning Jacket), Chris Morrissey and other musicians. This Appalachian folk and vintage gospel-influenced album includes Jean Ritchie's 'In the Cool of the Day,' Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s 'Up Above My Head,' and other traditional songs with his original songs.
