"Peter Zummo (1948) is a trombonist who has explored ensemble music at the border between classical chamber music and free-jazz. His first album "Zummo With An X" (1981), was recorded in a trio with Arthur Russell on cello and Bill Ruyle on tabla, highlighted by two lengthy minimalist suites Instruments (for duo, trio and quartet) and Lateral Pass. This is an 8 minute extract of the newly remastered Song IV which usually weighs in at just over 20 minutes. This reissue will be available on vinyl (180gm) for the first time since 1985 in June 2012." -- Optimo Music
