"Recorded for Japan is a compilation album containing songs recorded between April and June 2011 to aid the victims of the earthquake, resulting tsunami, and nuclear emergency that happened on March 11th, 2011 in Japan. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this compilation will go directly towards the continuing recovery and reconstruction effort, specifically the Japanese Red Cross. The album features the contributions of Acrylics, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Beige, Chairlift, Erika Spring, Ice Choir, Kurt Vile, K. "Megafaun"



a trailer for the upcoming new album "Megafaun"

Following-up to the last year's mini-album "Heretofore," Durham, NC-based Megafaun's self-titled third full-length album is due out on September 20th via Hometapes. It was recorded late last year at their former bandmate (DeYarmond Edison) Justin Vernon's April Base Studios in Fall Creek, WI, and self-produced with the help of BJ Burton. 'These Words' is taken from the new album.

DeYarmond Edison - Where We Belong from an unreleased EP (2006).
DeYarmond Edison (2002–2006) was founded by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and Megafaun's Brad Cook, Phil Cook, Joe Westerlund. They re-united for a three-song set at The Fader Fort at SXSW. 2011.

Taken from the A-side off of PRS 45-802: Allah-Las 'Catamaran' b/w 'Long Journey', available from PRES Record Co.. The band was made up of longtime friends Miles (vocals/guitar), Pedrum (lead guitar), Spencer (bass), and Matt (drums), the group formed in October 2008. Currently they are making provisional plans to release 2 more singles in the fall before starting to focus on an LP.
