Sun Araw and Sohni Chambers

Sun Araw - Last Chants

Sun Araw is known as the solo project of Long Beach psychonauts Magic Lantern’s guitarist Cameron Stallones (also a member of Pocahaunted).  'Last Chants' is taken from its new "Off Duty + Boat Trip" CD/12" via Woodsist.  CD/Digital includes 2008's "Boat Trip" EP.  Mastered by M. Geddes Gengras (of Robedoor/pocahaunted).

Sohni Chambers - 2:47pm

Sohni Chambers is a side project of Cameron Stallones with Sun Araw collaborator Nick Malkin (of Queen Victoria) '2:47pm' is taken from "Yaw-Mah-Ha," out now on Goaty Tape.

"Ya they might induce the sort of meditation we’ve come to expect from Stallones and his cohorts, but the genuine focus of these works lies in a sort of fetishized materiality: it’s just a Galaxie 8180 electronic organ and a five-piece drumset—odd timbres, distortions, broken keys, buzzing echoes and all. A dialogue vocal howls that flits in and out concretizes the intimacy of this musical space; while Stallones and Malkin are indeed wizards of levitated, shamanistic, and disembodied musical realities, here we see them straight on; two bros just letting shit out, warts and all."  (Goaty Tape)
