Baltimore's folk/ambient project Soft Cat was formed in 2009 by a transplant from Texas, Neil Sanzgiri (formerly of Talking Tiger Mountain, Voot Cha Index) with the help of Baltimore's musicians, Andy Abelow and Bob Keal (of Small Sur), Adam Lempel and Brendan Sullivan (of Weekends), Sianna Plavin (of Backyard Betties) and others.
