"Boo-Hooray is pleased to present the first comprehensive overview of the artwork and publications of Jon Beacham and his publishing imprint The Brother In Elysium. The focus of this show spanning the years 2008-2013 explore ideas of the artist / printer / publisher as an inherent lineage in post WWII American art and literature. Beacham's collages, his serial artist publications, film, photography and hand made books will all be displayed as components of the artist's focus on a grand, unfolding American narrative.The opening reception is tomorrow, April 11, from 6-9pm and the exhibit runs through April 26."

The Catalogue for the The Brother In Elysium exhibition at Boo-Hooray is now available for purchase at the Boo-Hooray webshop. Printed 4-color offset / perfect bound / edition of 500. It contains 33 color plates covering work between 2008-2013.

Angus MacLise was an American artist, poet, percussionist, and composer active in New York, San Francisco, Paris, London and Kathmandu from the 1950’s through the 1970’s. Best known as the original drummer of the Velvet Underground, MacLise’s lifework included music, calligraphy, performance art, poetry, drawings, plays, and limited edition artist’s books.
