Skeleton$ - Walmart and the Ghost of Jimmy Damour


SKELETON$ is a musical personality. When you think of people you know who are like Nelson Mandela, Elvis Presley, Mahatma Ghandi, and John Lennon, think of Skeletons. Like Sun Ra, James Brown, and Fela Kuti before them, they often change their name from album to album for tax purposes. 


Hailing from Oberlin, Ohio, currently New York City-based Skeleton$ (a.k.a. Skeletons, Skeleton$ Big Band, Skeletons & The Girl Faced Boys, Skeletons & The Kings of All Cities) consists of Matthew Mehlan /Jason McMahon and Jonathan Leland (of Glasser) / Mike Gallope (of Starring) / Peter Vogl.  The unit created by Chicago native musician and filmmaker Matt Mehlan in 2001.  'Walmart and the Ghost of Jimmy Damour' is taken from their upcoming new album "People" which is due out out in spring 2011 via Shinkoyo.
