The Nerves (1975 - 1978) formed by Jack Lee, Peter Case, and Paul Collins, were the great lost band of the L.A. scene, their power pop classic 'Hanging on the Telephone,' is well known by Blondie's cover hit. "One Way Ticket" (Alive Records/2008) containing 20 tracks, 4 songs from the Nerves EP along with previously unreleased studio tracks, demos and seven live tunes from a gig in Illinois. also limited Vinyl only "THE NERVES - Live At The Pirate's Cove, Cleveland OH, May 26th 1977" (Alive Records/2009) is available.

The Breakaways were Peter Case and Paul Collins' band after Jack Lee left the Nerves. It was a stepping stone for the Plimsouls and Collins' the Beat. "Walking Out on Love: The Lost Sessions" (Alive Records/2009) containing 13 literally hidden tracks discovered at Paul Collins' garage, recorded in the late 1970s.

Peter Case's book "As Far As You Can Get Without a Passport" (everthemore books/2006) covers his very early days from the time he left his native New York and wound up singing and playing on the streets of San Francisco.
