Sadakichi Hartmann Dances...
Sadakichi Hartmann (1867-1944) was a writer, poet, dramatist, critic, photography pioneer and movie actor during the early 20th century. Hartmann was an important figure in early modernism and had a diverse social circle that included Walt Whitman, Ezra Pound, and John Barrymore, and his movie credits include "The Thief of Bagdad." His papers are at UCR, in Special Collections and Archives.
